I am intrigurd by the Japanese custom of - Furoshiki. A square cloth is used for wrapping and carrying items.
These Watermelon Jellies are packaged and wrapped in a "Watermelon" cloth [via Ping Mag]
Recently I came across some more on Furoshiki at Wren [via Fourwalls Design]
Furoshiki means "Bath Spread" and was used at Public Baths. The bather would stand on the large cloth to undress, then bundle the clothes into the cloth for safe keeping!
Tomorrow I am going to show you some Furoshiki in my own home!
