Couches and Art - Yesterday and Today...

I've just found a 1962 copy of Conde Naste House and Garden Book of Interiors! I love looking at these old books and seeing the threads that come through today [and some styles that have fortunately not!]
There's a lot about this room that would be quite pleasing today. Photographer Ilisa Katz Rissman's Orange Couch records a beautiful modern day version:[via design sponge]Back to the 60's - These Scandinavian chairs and Charles Eames coffee table would be hot property today!

    That brown daybed in the last photo is rather funky. Looks like a great place to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee. -X
