I don't usually do fashion on my blog, but I do love to do
Durbanish things!
So ...Here are some of my daughter's shots from
The Dept of Fashion and Textiles at the Durban University of Technology's annual fashion show, where 22 students showcased their fashion ranges last week.
By the way I did not get to the
Egg Design Exhibition on Friday. It's a long story, partly based on the fact that my daughter had a VERY long interview time [4,5 hours] at
Vega. The good news is that she has been accepted there and will be starting her degree in Creative Brand Communication next year! The
Egg Design Exhibition is on for the month of October, so the good news about that is that I still have time to get there!
Lovely pics. I often wonder who wears "fashion", but some of these items do in fact look wearable!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad about the Vega news! Congrats to her!!
Can't believe your youngest is leaving school.
Enjoy Egg when you get there...
Great find - love the splash of green!
ReplyDeleteOooooh that coat/coat dress at the top right is 'the one' for me - love it!!
ReplyDeletefantastic color palette!!!
ReplyDeleteThese students are really talented - there are a couple of designs that I would happily wear! (And congrats to your daughter!)
ReplyDeleteBrings back memories! I studied there 100( feels like that long) years ago but it was called the Durban Technikon in those days!
ReplyDeleteVery Impressive Stuff!
ReplyDeleteI was very lucky to watch this fashion show and actually make jewellery for one of the exhibitors.
ReplyDeleteA congratulations must be said to all those talented students, I am so excited for all the upcoming designers in Durban and the potential around to grow Durban into a hub of creativity! :o)
