This is how they came about...
I found a couple of odd little macrame squares while thrifting! At first I thought I might use them in my bathroom as facecloths, but they took exfoliating a little too seriously! 
I decided to hand-stitch the edges together and then fit the macrame sleeves over some extra-large tumblers.

Very clever! And so much nicer now than they used to be.
ReplyDeletegreat idea for re-designing a vase or glass! Sunset Magazine recently posted some info doing something similar with bamboo placemats! But I really love the soft texture you got here!
