It's Beautiful Up There!

I am part of the decor team at our church. We have a lovely large new building with some double volume Entrance Areas which need decorating! The areas have to be typically crowd and children friendly, so most of the art will be suspended or wall mounted.

Here is some of the inspiration I will be bringing to our next meeting:
The Falling Garden by Gerda Steiner and Jorg Lenzlinger comprises of plastic berries and silk flowers, waste paper, seeds, branches and thorns and all sorts of other goodies from around the world!
Stuart Haygarth's pleasing Tide Chandelier made up of man-made debris washed up on beachesAnd I would SO love it if we included Stuart's Shadey Family Chandelier too: Sophie Cuvelier's Garlands are so cheerful!
I am thinking of including cups and saucers, etc. Anything to depict the theme of community and relating! I will keep you posted!

I like them all but especially the first one - that could be magnificent if your church has a high ceiling! I look forward to seeing the result - will you post about it?(Oh and I left you a belated birthday message in your trolley and birthday post below!)

Wow, wow, wow. Such amazing ideas you have found.
They all give a sense of welcoming people, and church being a homely, lovely place to go to.
Enjoy!
