I have become passionate about Proteas... [a few years back I didn't think they were so cool, but I've come full circle now]
I asked a few of the blooms from my Mother's Day bunch to pose for the camera! 
By the looks of things they really enjoyed themselves!

Oh that appeared like magic as I was commenting below... :) I occasionally find Proteas at my local flower stall over here and I love them because they remind me of home - the smell especially! Although relatively pricey because they're 'exotic', I can't ever resist them.

Such strange, majestic blooms... and you've captured them beautifully!
I think it's a really cool flower! I love roses, peonies and the trend flower (ranunculus), but this is something special and it was good to see something different!
