Sheena Matheiken has pledged to wear 1 dress every day for a whole year. Fortunately she has 7 identical versions of the little black number, which was designed for her by Eliza Starbuck. Her aim is to raise funds for the Akanksha Foundation, a movement involved with education in India.
I have enjoyed following her journey as I see how she creatively re-interprets the dress everyday with a variety of handmade and vintage finds! Can you see the little crocheted button surrounds on one version and the vintage black doily she wore to a wedding? Follow her website here or on twitter here.

I saw this on Facebook, and was very intrigued. She is amazing - firstly the concept, and then the absolute creative ingenuity of her outfits!
(I don't suppose you'll be doing the sequin number every day?!?)
This is so interesting! I love the way she reinterprets the same thing everyday.
I'm fascinated by this too! I love the style of the basic dress, and that it can be worn back-to-front. Sometimes I miss having a school uniform to wear - it did make life easier.
Found you on Parusha's blog. What a lovely blog you have! And your cards are also very pretty. Very original and full of feelings!
I have also seen this - what an interesting idea! I love how she completely changes the dress with the accessories.
Inspiring!
