The Letter at Last!

The light is not really good for taking pics here this morning. It is an overcast day. But I can't wait to show you my next tapestry bag, which I finished this weekend. It features a cross-stitch version of 'Brieflesendes Mädchen am offenen Fenster' or 'Girl Reading a Letter at Open Window' by Vermeer. I sourced the work from a charity shop, de-framed it, washed it and brought it to new life on this bag. I love the colouring - it is a favourite of mine! [there are a few more in the pipeline]. I decorated the back of the bag with some of the surrounding tapestry fabric bits - I liked the colour chart and the Cotton labelling.

I lined the bag with some 'found' cotton print and it has some shweshwe fabric pockets inside. It will be in my etsy shop soon!
