Hearts

I've been seeing hearts all over the place! With the 14th of Feb fast approaching, it's not surprising.
This heart came from a vintage French 'Crochet Monthly' Magazine...Along with it's appealing 'hearty' instructions! I love the paper hearts I saw yesterday in a Woolworths window [We still have Woolworths in South Africa - because it's not the same as the Woolworths in the UK - Here it's linked to Marks & Spencer] And then Dizzy Design crocheted the cutest hearts, filled them with lavender and is adding them as a surprise to her orders! I recommend you visit Fra[a]iing for lots of valentine inspiration and entertainment - here, here and an invitation to a virtual valentine party here! How About Orange has a tut on how to make these...

I am SO cynical about the stuff I see in the shops, but you bring a new, fresh perspective. Thanks, I'll be looking with a new eye.

Thanks for including my hearts. I know I had a vintage pattern of a beautiful crochet heart cushion somewhere but I just can't find it! It is quite a difficult shape to perfect.

Thank you for mentioning my heart! (The one that hurts and that has caused me to still not be able to unlock the front door properly!) I love the collection of hearts you have in this post ... like Estelle I am also quite cynical about the commercial aspect of Valentines Day - I'm really trying to not buy anything - just make new stuff from old stuff! (But I will have to make an exception and buy bubbly for that party, and probably the cupcakes too, although I will be baking the biscuits!

adorable stuff. I too I'm getting into the valentine's spirit, working on one more angry post :-))
P.S: Audio books are the best!

Oh yes, I meant to add - the Valentines tea party is actually going to be a real one - and my blog friends are ALL invited to virtually attend!

I'm not crazy about commercial Valentines, but these handmade ones are lovely.

Pretty, pretty hearts. I'm not a fan of Valentine's day (why can't we just show people we love them all the time?) but I do LOVE hearts!

Thanks for all of the love hearts! I am usually inspired, make maybe two and then go to the card shoppe and buy some...It's more time consuming than I ever think it will be.

I just love that paper clip idea. It is so simple but so effective.
