Retro Vase Giveaway

The other day, while making a batch of vinyl record products, I came across this beauty.  It was a locally pressed LP and a gorgeous tangerine colour.
This is pretty much a one-off, so I decided to make it a giveaway.

This Delightful Diaphanous Tangerine Vinyl Vase is waiting to find a new home.
Leave a comment here or on the Freshly Found Facebook Page, or email me telling about a vinyl record memory you have - and you could win this vase and a hamper of Freshly Found goodies.
The range of vinyl products include the very popular bookends, vinyl wrap vases, cord keepers and stationery holders.  See the vinyl range album here or in the Ornaments Section of www.freshlyfound.com.  The draw will take place next week Friday the 14th December 2012

That orange is awesome. My vinyl favourite is the seven single. My sister had a collection of all of her favourites and kept them in her cupboard with a portable record player with a speaker that hung on two cup hooks on the inside of the door. When she went away on a long holiday in 1987, I played Queen's "The Great Pretender" over and over again and every time I hear it now, I remember that time of missing her.

I have to share my own memory too.
I remember my dad buying me a single by The Sweet called Coco. I was still in primary school at the time and I can recall feeling just soooo ultra-cool that I had my very own copy of this song! [Groovy!?]

Totally groovy! My dad also used to buy the singles for my sister. She would send him off to CNA with the details of the single she wanted. He says that the sales staff wondered why an old man was buying "pop" music.

Love this vase! I remember good times when my dad would put on his Michael Jackson Thriller LP and my sisters and I would dance around the lounge to Billie Jean.
