We were delighted to find these beautiful indigenous Red Proteas at our local florist.
But the beautiful Red Berries, - Schinus terebinthifolius - with the common name of "Christmas Berry Tree" which we found growing in our garden are classified as "alien invaders" in our area.Oh dear, we will have to get ruthless in our garden in the New Year!

Ha ha, I'll try to spell carefully... I wanted to compliment the beautiful 'milk glass' vessels used as vases for the proteas. I've started collecting a few of these but find they are quite scarce. Beautiful shot.
Beautiful and very inspiring! I didn't set my own Christmas table this year and I really missed it - it's such a special joy. Happy 2008!
