Thanks to all of you for your comments on my new look blog! The flowers and leaves in the header come from a shrub, indigenous to South Africa, commonly known as the Blue Potato Bush, and recently planted in my garden and blooming for the first time! Yay!
Wiekie Somers gave a new look to this surviving fragment of Delft and completed it in her own way.

The tulips were real ones, dipped in porcelain and then baked in a kiln. Lovely to work so closley with nature to create art!

It formed part of a project by
Die Gemeente Museum in The Hague. Recycling / repurposing / history/ art / contemporary design / - what an exciting mixture!
