Mist Belt

The area I live in is part of a Mist Belt and October is the misty month! On Saturday morning my husband and I went out really early [5.30am!] and captured some of the mist! I don't like it when it so so thick that I can hardly see where I am driving! But I do enjoy the way it beautifully softens everything and feels like a comforting blanket.

That is so incredibly beautiful. It makes me think of being on holiday in a quaint, remote spot. It's hard to believe that the pics are right in suburbia.

Looks amazing. From my window I see the mists in the valley, I love how they look as though someone is sucking them through a giant straw as they lift.

Lovely photos. I have to admit, the mist is not my favourite, but I can appreciate the beauty, as long as it doesn't persist for days on end. I need the sunshine.

One misty moisty morning,
When cloudy was the weather,
I chanced to meet an old man,
Clothed all in leather.
He began to compliment
And I began to grin.
How do you do? And how do you do?
And how do you do again?

Your pics remind me of that nursery rhyme!

Pretty! I love the mist. We don't see it often around here but it does have a beautifully softening effect...

Lovely photos :) I especially love the first one - it's definitely worthy of being framed & hung somewhere in your home.
