Early WIP

I have an attraction to old how-to books [especially crochet ones]
I love recycling!
So...

I am using a pattern from this vintage crochet book as a guide to make a hat.  The skeins of yarn that I am crocheting with are video tape! I unwound the reel, then rewound the tape into skeins, which I twisted to make them crinkly.  This makes the tape much easier to work with.

Now I am looking for some Milliner's wire.  I'll let you know how it turns out!

Very nice! I have some ideas brewing as well for cassette tape - there's so much of it around. And let me know if you want some more old hat crochet patterns - I have some great ones stashed away!

Is there no end to you and your creativity?!?! I guess the tape is waterproof - on a rainy day like today here in Gauteng, I could have used one (-:
Looking forward to the end-product!
