Ladies at Work

Packing space was at a premium on our trip to Mocambique, so I there was only space for 1 memento.

This delightful mobile of Ladies-at-Work is made from local wood, wire, fabric and natural bits and pieces!
They are grinding, carrying and working in my home now!

Great mobile. It is amazing how they can make something so beautiful with a material we overlook most of the time. Great!

Oh, I just LOVE that - so pretty and detailed, and fragile, yet showing the women's strength.

Great souvenir Denise - they're gorgeous! I've loved reading about your trip - although it's about eight years since I was last there Ponto d'Ouro has many, many happy memories for me.
