Markets of Warwick

Last week we went on a tour of the Markets of Warwick.
It was an incredible experience.  It opened up an area of inner city Durban to me.

Before it was no-go zone for me, but the tour has completely changed my perspective and taught me so much about the community who make up these 9 markets.
On Friday, the bead market is open too, and we were given 15 delightful but short minutes to explore:
I have put together a lot more pics on my Freshly Found Facebook Page, if you would like to see more of the tour.
For Bookings and more info go to the Markets of Warwick Website

It's lovely to explore these places in one's own town.
Last Thurs I was delighted to find a lone bead-worker outside a Spar in one of the suburbs.

Estelle - This is definitely on our to-do list when you're next in Durbs!

sounds like a plan to explore our inner city now that it is all "safe" with the tourists in town - sad that it takes that to make things happen in our city...

That is such a great idea. I am going to try that when we are home again.
