I know you've seen a lot of my Bibliogami Books on my blog. I've been seeing even more of them. In fact - Freshly Found has taken a small, but significant little step in the past few weeks. My car has been told to stay outside the garage, and we have set up a book folding production line in there.
I remember a few years ago, when I bought 3 paperback novels from the hospice shop - to try out this book folding thing. I thought they would make an interesting table centrepiece for a couple of months and then I would throw them out. I didn't think people might buy them!
Well the designs of the folds have developed and we are doing some interesting things with them now. Last week we got a box-ful of them off to the UK and we're working in collaboration with a Design Company in Durban too.
I enjoy the colours and lines of the books. The creams, off-whites, beiges and ochres!
And I am appreciating the help of Sandile, the talented Freshly Found beader, who is honing his Bibliogami skills now too!

This is such an exciting development!
It's great to see Sandile too.
Thinking of you and the logistics involved!
I haven't been to your online shop for a while - it's really so great. Lovely reading about the people who are onboard.
Your Bibliogami creations are gorgeous...absolutely love them! And a car being forced to stand outside to make space for production...well that must be a very good sign of potential and prosperity to come :-)
Your Bibliogami work is Beautiful! The different
colors of the book pages add another degree of
warmth + charm to the lovely shapes. I look
forward to seeing more of your creations!
What wonderful work you've done. Love the colors of old worn book pages.

a success well deserved..so refreshing !!
Lovely photos! Sounds exciting
Still one of my favourite things. I have 5 of them displayed in my house. Maybe I must come to Dbn and help you fold some - I am feeling a bookpaperfolding urge coming on!
I just looked at them in your shop... they're worth so much more than $15!
lovely. these made me think of my gran. she always folded old books like that too ;>
Love your Bibliogami creations. So pleased to see your success with them. I did some folding of larger books years ago but they never looked as good as yours. Best of luck!
I see I left a comment on this original post! So here I am again, ages later and rediscovering this lovely blog. I was inspired to do some more book folding after this and now I'm thinking maybe I could include my latest passion for iPhoneography with paper folding. I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying just gently wandering through your blob. Lovely on a cool, rainy day.
