Today's the Day!

Today, 3 years ago I posted my first Freshly Found Blog entry!  Today is also my 600th blog post!

So it is a Freshly Found Celebration.  This collection shows my love for vintage and found goodies and it includes 3 bracelets for a giveaway!
The bracelets are all significant to Freshly Found and the journey we have been on over the past 3 years.
The sari rope bracelet pays tribute to the rich Indian Culture here in Durban, and the fact that vintage sari fabric forms the basis of many Freshly Found products
It is no secret how passionate I am about crochet, so I had to include this crochet cuff.  I love re-interpreting the vintage craft of crochet in a relevant and pleasing way.
The 3rd bracelet is folded and woven from strips of vintage book paper.  Sandile and his team are making these for me as well as folding books for my other projects!

So, if you would like to stand in line to win all 3 of these bracelets, please leave a comment on my blog telling me what "vintage refreshed" means to you! [All blog comments will be eligible, but I would love to hear your perspective!]
The winner will be announced on the 25th of September, on the 1 year anniversary of the Fresly Found Online Store!

Vintage refreshed means bringing a new life to something new! It is something we all need to do - a way of recycling and making do with all we have!

Many congratulations! Having found your blog fairly recently I have a lovely lot of archive to look through.

To me 'vintage refreshed' means giving something a new lease of life - it may be upcycling or making something modern using a forgotten technique. I get a thrill from refreshing vintage lockets by adding modern gems and hand-made silver flowers.

3 years and 600 posts! Good for you and congratulations! Oh golly, of course I would like to win those three bracelets, they are so perfectly ME! Hmmmm, vintage refreshed - now let me think ... to me it means Style with a Story behind it and a Twist in the Tail!

Congratulations Denise! It's been wonderful following your blog. It's always a source of inspiration to see old things with new uses when I stop by here.

happy blog birthday! (happy us to have your blog to visit!)

vintage refresh is just great: a kind of recycling: mixing what you have already -or find- and spark with some creativity and change it or just use it as "new" The new perspective is in your mind.

What a journey it's been! To me vintage refreshed would mean tactile memories that are relevant to now & add a depth to our "instant society". Congratulations on an amazing 3 years.

Happy anniversary! To me, 'vintage refreshed' carries a sense of respect for the vintage objects - they're repurposed, but retain some of their former life, use and appeal.

Congratulations on this beautiful project, I have enjoyed seeing the way you throw your creativity into things you enjoy and how much you love and enjoy your family and friends as it all comes through in this blog.

Vintage refreshed means to me:
Finding an old discarded unloved thing and repurposing it in a unique way to become something to be treasured.

Such as your silk tie flower brooches.

Congratulations on your 600th post! You have been a real inspiration for me, proud of our Durban bloggers!
Vintage refreshed?! Traditional with a wacky twist, reuse, refresh, recycle, simplify, going back to our roots...

I went back to look at your blog today & only realised that you wanted a comment on "vintage refreshed" - here's mine. Any object that has been given a new lease of life through reinterpretation makes us look at the original as if we had never seen it before.

Vintage Refreshed ~ to me means the beauty of taking things that once lived in another era and renewing them to live again. What makes me happiest about vintage is the fact that in another life it existed...went places, was loved and now belongs to you.
Congratulations!!!
