On Friday Night I went to the DUT
Fashion Show. It was so much fun! I enjoyed the exposure to such creative talent and was delighted to see funky crochet and embroidery work incorporated in the designs and also interesting printing and dyeing techniques!
We went to support our friend
Skye Pengelly and were delighted that she won the best Casual Wear Prize.
Most of her materials were recycled and she incorporated a lot of crochet work too! Skye is the current
Vodacom Durban July Young Designer!
Well done Skye!

Oh my, that's right up your street - recycling and crochet work and embroidery. Incredible creativity!
Lovely photographs. I love going to student fashion shows. I'm sorry I missed this one. Durban is so rich with young talent. Well done to Skye, gorgeous creation! My daughter is a second year fashion student at http://www.styledesigncollege.co.za/ and I am so looking forward to their show in November.
Lovely fashion - I think student shows are almost always more interesting than the established designer shows!
Love that beautiful maxi dress in the first photo - lovely coloring :)
Lovely pics, especially the first one, those dresses are so pretty!
And thanks for visiting my blog :)
