That really had me smiling. The last fling is the one that leaves me feeling vulnerable and unsure - is there ever a LAST when I do shopping?
I bought myself a 2nd hand book yesterday - that's as close as I can come to your sterling efforts!
I have that book! It's really good - I always end up going back to it, even if only to compare their instructions with others'. It has a great pattern for lacy knitted stockings.... I made about 3 pairs one year when I was supposed to be studying for exams.
