Antimacassar Tote!

I decided to make a Carrry Bag out of this Vintage Antimacassar. I am trying my best to be "green" by remembering to take my shopping bag with me - instead of buying plastic! The fact that this Carry Bag has already been Re-cycled makes it doubly "green"!
Can you see the Cicada posing amongst the embroidery? Their high pitched, continuous singing is a trade mark of summer here in Durban, South Africa.

The Bag is going to the shop - my etsy one!

Beautiful.
I also forget my green bags at home, or in the car.

Can you think of a way to re-purpose the cicada and its noise? - it's one sound I have not managed to block out (-:

It is so pretty! Beautiful way to re-use. Does the cicada come with it? :-)

Thanks E, Bron and Cake! The cicada was actually a dead one - but they are quite pretty! The noise is continuous, even now, but I have managed to zone out of that sound level!

Another beautiful projects made of a vintage item. I love the sound of Cicades. It reminds me of warm Summer nights in the Provence and Toscane.
