Weekend Fun

It all started about a year ago, when I bought a beautiful vintage woolen scarf. I threw it into the washing machine, and unintentionally felted it!Visiting the recent SUS'T exhibition I saw Ronel Jordaan's beautiful felt work in real life. Inspired by this, I decided to do something with that ruined scarf. I scanned in some paisley prints from my sari collection, and made some pattern shapes. I pinned them on to the scarf, making sure they touched, and then I cut the shapes out.Working with the felt was a wonderful therapeutic experience.
I am not too sure what I am going to do with the final product. If I am feeling VERY brave I might wear it as a scarf, otherwise I will probably use it as a table runner!

You amaze me! Be brave and wear it - even if it's once - so creative. It's like wearing a purple hat at our age (-:

That's a fantastic result for a booboo! I would definitely wear it and I love the combination of paisley shapes with stripes

Ok Thanks for the encouragement. I'll wear it somewhere arty! Maybe if it's cold and rainy for the Design Indaba!
